Fulton County GA bullhook ban to be re-introduced

June 1, 2011 Ban the Bullhook in Fulton County

Fulton County Commissioners are re-introducing an important ordinance that would ban the use of bullhooks in the county. This would mean that circuses like Ringling Bros. couldn’t use the sharp metal-tipped weapons to beat and intimidate elephants when they come to town, sparing numerous elephants from unnecessary suffering.

Fulton County Commissioner Robb Pitts will be re-introducing a motion to ban bullhooks in Fulton County! This time Commissioner Joan Garner is co-sponsoring this important ordanance!

Please join us for this very important event on June 1, 2011 at 10:00 at the Fulton County Board of Commissioners meeting as Commissioner Pitts introduces this historic legislation.

We encourage everyone to come to this important meeting and wear something yellow to show support. Ringling will be there and most likely the media will too, so please come out and let the Board of Commissioners know the wide level support for this.

When: June 1, 2011

10:00 am (be there at 9:30 if you can)

Where: Fulton County Board of Commissioners

141 Pryor Street SW, Assembly Room (1st Floor)

Atlanta, GA 30303

If you have children out of school please feel free to bring them and let them hold signs!
